Denotification Rules should change

These days every newspaper and news channel in Karnataka have been airing reports about top politicians denotifying the lands available with KIADB.
KIADB is a government enterprise which acquires chunks of land from common people and farmers in order to provide them to the industries for development purpose. The owners of these lands are paid market price and then it becomes the property of KIADB/government.
Denotification: The CM of Karnataka has powers to denotify these acquired lands when there is no demand from industries or for any other reasons. These lands can then be sold off to general public.

But our poor politicians and their relatives are gobbling up all the denotified lands and most of the time sold at throwaway prices causing a huge loss to the government.
I doubt that these lands are acquired from farmers for use by KIADB.These may be acquired in an intention to denotify later and get access to prime property.

As Transport minister Ashok put it,the power to denotify any land in Karnataka should be taken away from CM and politicians.
If there is a need to denotify the land,it has to be sold back to the original owner at the same price.

We,the people should not just curse the politicians when these scams are exposed on TV,but also have to
press for changing laws which have loopholes and which result in loss to the sate exchequer.

Land and natural resources are the assets of the government. They are our properties and its our duty to protect them.
